Grey's Anatomy, "Weeds" Lead TV Golden Globes Nominations
Weeds and Grey's Anatomy led the pack with four nominations, including best series, in the television categories of the Golden Globes.
Typically, the Golden Globes look to different series than the Emmy when choosing the best, and that is no exception this year. Other nominees for best television awards include Heroes, Big Love, and Ugly Betty.
Nominees for best actor in a drama include Bill Paxton for his role in Big Love and Michael C. Hall for his role in Dexter. On the comedy side, Zach Braff got a nod for his role on Scrubs, as did Steve Carrell for The Office.
On the female side for dramas, Ellen Pompeo, Grey's Anatomy, picked up a nod, and so did Kyra Sedgwick for The Closer. In comedy, Mary-Louise Parker, Weeds, and Marcia Cross, Desperate Housewives, received nods.
Lost, 24, Heroes, Big Love, and Grey's Anatomy all received nods for best drama series. Desperate Housewives, Entourage, The Office, Ugly Betty, and Weeds, all received nominations for being the best comedy.
