Ken Griffey Jr. has re-signed with the Seattle Mariners.
Ken Griffey Jr. has agreed to a one-year contract with the Seattle Mariners, reports USA Today. Griffey played for the Mariners last season, when he only hit for .214 and had a career-low .735 OPS. This will be his 22nd season in MLB.
According to the Associated Press, Griffey is currently baseball's active home-run leader. His contract with the Mariners is estimated to be worth $2 million. Griffey will likely play as a designated hitter for the Mariners next season.
