Gwyneth Paltrow Talks About "Iron Man"

According to Access Hollywood, Gwyneth Paltrow has fully enjoyed her role as leading lady in the upcoming superhero film, Iron Man. The movie has already been released around the world and will make its U.S. debut this Friday.

The film stars Robert Downey, Jr. as the Iron Man and Paltrow as Pepper Potts. Paltrow is known for her roles in artsy drama films and felt unsure about starring in a blockbuster movie. Downey, Jr. allegedly called her and said, "Don't you wanna be in a movie that people actually see?"

Paltrow decided to take on the role as Pepper Potts with enthusiasm. "The experience was so wonderful, and such a happy, happy time," the actress said.

There have been discussions of the possibility of a sequel due to all the excitement surrounding Iron Man.

Paltrow will join the likes of Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry and Kirsten Dunst as the leading female in a superhero film. Additional ladies to become superhero stars this summer are Liv Tyler in The Incredible Hulk and Maggie Gylenhaal in Batman: The Dark Knight.
