Hairspray Star Arrested for Assault

Nikki Blonsky, who rose to prominence with her role in the 2007 remake of Hairspray, was arrested Wednesday after brawling with America's Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden at an airport in Turks and Caicos, Access Hollywood reports.

Authorities confirmed that the fight, which broke out Wednesday, was between Blonsky's father, who was also arrested, daughter Nikki, and Golden. Golden allegedly tried to sit where the Blonsky family was sitting, Us Weekly reported. However, the family allegedly refused to move its luggage, and a fight broke out.

Nikki Blonsky was charged with actual bodily harm and released on $6,000 bail, while her father was charged with grievous bodily harm and kept in custody. Golden was also charged with actual bodily harm and released on her own accord, and is scheduled to appear in court September 17.

Police said that Elaine Golden, Bianca's mother, was airlifted to a Miami hospital due to head injuries sustained in the fight.

Nikki made a court appearance Friday in Turks and Caicos wearing a neck brace, and is scheduled to appear back in court December 1.
