Halle Berry engaged with diamond and emerald ring

First there was Matthew McConaughey, then a slew of other celebrities, including Winona Ryder, John Legend, and Michael Jordan, and now Halle Berry is the latest celebrity preparing to tie the knot.

E! Online reported the New Year's Eve star’s boyfriend, now fiancé Olivier Martinez, popped the question over the holidays.

Martinez, a French actor, and Berry met while filming next year’s thriller, Dark Tide, in 2010.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Martinez proposed to the 45-year-old with a diamond and emerald stunner.

Berry began dating Martinez shortly after she parted ways with model Gabriel Aubrey, with whom she had been dating for five years and has a daughter, 3-year-old Nahla. The two were involved in a nasty custody battle for Nahla earlier this year, with Berry looking for full custody.

They settled in February, with Aubrey getting the short end of the stick and not receiving as much time with his daughter as he hoped.

Berry and Martinez went public with their relationship in October 2010. This will be the third walk down the aisle for the Oscar winner.

She has previously been married to R&B singer Eric Benet and Atlanta Braves baseball player David Justice. Berry finalized her divorce with Justice in 2005.
