Harrison Ford Visits Comic-Con for the First Time
On Saturday, Harrison Ford made his first trip to Comic-Con International, an annual event.
Despite his previous roles as Han Solo in Star Wars, adventurer Indiana Jones, and Jack Ryan in Patriot Games, Ford had never made an appearance at the San Diego conference.
However, he attended the 2010 event to promote his upcoming film, Cowboys & Aliens, after a request from his director, Jon Favreau.
Despite a failed launch of Zathura, Favreau gained much recognition from his San Diego launch of Iron Man. Due to the importance of successful launch at Comic Con, Favreau switched his shooting schedule in order to be in San Diego for the weekend.
He quickly put together footage of Cowboys & Aliens to be shown as well. “You gotta do it. You have to show something,” he said.
Ford traveled from New Mexico where he is currently shooting an upcoming film.
