Harry Potter Bares All on Broadway in Equus
Harry Potter fans rejoice - the famed Potter actor, Daniel Radcliffe, is showing off his magic wand in New York during Broadway's production of Equus, according to People.
The play previewed Friday on Broadway and features a seven-minute scene where Radcliffe bares all.
And, to the giddy pleasure of Potter fans who couldn't make it to New York, uncensored photos of a naked Radcliffe surfaced on celebrity gossip Web site PerezHilton.com earlier this week.
Overall, critics and fans gave Friday's opening performance rave reviews, though the story line is a bit controversial.
Equus is about a teen, played by Radcliffe, who is somewhat disturbed and blinds six horses due to his love for the creatures. A psychiatrist, played by Radcliffe's Harry Potter costar, Richard Griffiths, tries to decipher the teen's actions.
According to People, Radcliffe spent time signing playbills outside the theater after the show's opening performance.
The play's opening night is scheduled for Sept. 25 and will run through Feb. 8 of next year. The 1973 play was originally written by Peter Shaffer and was revived in Feb. 2007 in London. It is Radcliffe's first "adult" role.
