Harry Potter Stars Dread Long-Awaited Kiss

59 percent of fans are looking forward to the kiss between Harry Potter stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

According to a poll on Fandango.com, the most anticipated on-screen kiss in the "Harry Potter" series, ironically enough, does not include the titular character. Instead, it is between his two best friends.

Fifty-nine percent of fans say that the kiss they are looking forward to the most is between Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The tension had spanned seven books and it was not until (spoiler alert), the final battle of Hogwarts that seven years worth of teenage hormones finally came to fruition.

The real-life experience was far from the ecstatic moment described in the books. "Rupert and I were quite nervous that it might look ingenuous as we were so desperate to get it over with," Watson, 19, told Reuters.

According to Rupert Grint and Emma Watson – who play Ron and Hermione, respectively – the kiss was filmed two weeks ago. "It's not something we were really looking forward to," said 20-year-old Grint. "It was quite a strange thing to have to think about doing."

The 6th installment of the "Harry Potter" series hits theaters July 15, and part one of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is expected in 2010. Part two will follow in 2011.
