'Hawaii Five-O' Remake Gets Grace Park
Grace Park, known for her role as Lt. "Boomer" Valerii from the hit drama Battlestar Galactica has just joined CBS' new version of HawaiiFive-O.
The update on the original series focuses on a group of elite Hawaii State Police headed by Steve McGarrett, played in this series by Alex O'Loughlin.
Park has been tapped to play Kona Kalakaua, officer Chin Ho Kelly's niece. Lost's Daniel Dae Kim will be playing Detective Kelly, who was played by Kam Fong for almost a full decade on the original series.
Park's character, Kalakaua, is a beautiful and smart surfer who competes and dominates the Hawaii circuit. She was about to graduate from the police academy when McGarret recruits her to join the team.
She joins another former Battlestar Galactica cast member, Tricia Helfer, who played Number Six. Alex O'Laughlin, who you might remember as Detective Kevin Hiatt on FX's cop drama The Shield.
