HBO Renews Its Sunday Night Lineup

Vampires, a gigolo, and showbiz comedy are all to return.

HBO announced the renewal of its Sunday-night lineup, says the New York Times.

The network has ordered a third season of "True Blood", a second season of "Hung" and a seventh season of "Entourage," for the upcoming 2010 year, says Reuters.

According to Reuters, the current summer lineup gives HBO viewers two consecutive hours of hit programming, a first time for the network in years. The network's latest hit "True Blood" increases its audience with nearly every episode, making it the network's most watched show since "The Sopranos."

"True Blood" averaged out at 3.8 million viewers, "Hung" averaged out at 3.1 million and "Entourage" brings in about 3.0 million viewers every Sunday night, reports the New York Times.

Michael Lombardo, the networks programming head, and Richard Plepler, the network's co-president, also hinted at fates and premier dates of other HBO programming, Reuters reports.

According to Reuters, Emmy-nominated "Flight of the Conchords" is also anticipated to return for another season.

"When they're ready, we're ready," Plepler said about the show's third season. "They have the added challenge of writing an album, we're waiting for them to tell us they're ready."
