Heath Ledger's Music Video Debuts
It has been more than a year since Australian-born actor Heath Ledger tragically died, yet his spirit has been kept alive by the works that prevailed in his lifetime. It has been announced on Msnbc.com that the music video for Modest Mouse's "King Rat" was released and directed by the late Ledger. The video can be played on WeAreTheMasses.com and is an additional song from the band's 2007 recording, "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank."
The piece was one of Ledger's first tries as a director. The video is a six-minute animation containing many scenes of dolphins and fish upon a ship who adamantly fish for humans in the sea, says the Associated Press. At the end of the video there is message seen that states "This began with our friend, and ended with his spirit." Modest Mouse decided to release the video to commemorate the memory of Ledger.
