Heather Locklear May Appear in "Melrose Place" Remake

Locklear is in talks to reprise her role as Amanda Woodward in the upcoming remake.

Several original cast members have signed on for the upcoming remake of "Melrose Place." Four actors have already signed on - Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bissett and Daphne Zuniga – and rumors are abounding that superstar Heather Locklear may reprise her role as Amanda Woodward, despite passing on the role back in April.

According to the L.A. Times, executive producer Todd Slavkin told reporters that Locklear was always welcome.

"We're huge fans and have a great way for her to come into the show," he said.

Grant Show also isn't ruling out returning as Jake Hanson, "maybe next year." He is currently working on his new show, "Accidentally on Purpose," as James.

The original "Melrose Place" ran from 1992-99 and the remake is set to premiere on the CW at 9 p.m. on Sept. 8. Locklear will not appear in the pilot, despite talks earlier this year.
