Heather Locklear will not move back to Melrose in the CW remake of Melrose Place, despite earlier reports that the star would reprise her role as Amanda Woodward.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Locklear turned down the offer to join the cast of the show. The network nor the studio has issued any statements about this news, but a "source close to the situation" and her representative confirmed Locklear's decision.
"There wasn't a way to bring her back that made sense," the source said.
The cast so far includes Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Jessica Lucas, Katie Cassidy and Michael Rady. Contactmusic.com reports that Lisa Rinna, who played Taylor McBride in the original series, said she wants to return to the show.
