Heidi Klum and Seal confirm: "We have decided to separate"

With the swirling rumors that took over the news on Saturday, it's official: Heidi Klum and Seal will separate after 7 years of marriage.

The super model and her Grammy winning husband took to People to confirm the unfortunate news. She states. “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.

Klum and Seal were married back in 2005, and are known for renewing their vows every May on their anniversary. The news comes after numerous reports of fighting and distance between the two. E!Online questioned the validity of said reports, noting that he couple was last seen Saturday in California with their wedding rings on.

People reports that Klum also states, "We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."
