Heidi Klum spotted with wedding ring in first public appearance since announcing divorce

German supermodel Heidi Klum made her first public appearance since it was officially announced Sunday that she was breaking up with her husband, singer Seal. Klum was spotted Wednesday after leaving the filming of a new episode of Project Runway and in the photos, she is clearly wearing her wedding ring.

According to People, she was seen in Los Angeles wearing the gold band. She avoided questions, running straight from the studio to an awaiting car, notes The Daily Mail.

Unlike Seal, Klum has been keeping a low profile since the two confirmed their separation on Sunday. They told People that, “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.”

They called the separation an “...amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition” in the statement.

Seal has also been spotted wearing his wedding ring and has been very public about what happened between the two. According to Us Weekly, the “Kiss from a Rose” singer told Ellen DeGeneres on her show why he will continue to wear the ring. "I think it's just pretty much a token of how I feel about this woman. We have eight years. Eight wonderful years together...Just because we have decided to separate doesn't necessarily mean you take off your ring and you're no longer connected to that person,” he said.

He also explained to CNN’s Piers Morgan that, "I'm still wearing my wedding ring because I'm still married to this incredible woman.”

Seal, 48, and Klum, 38, had been together since 2003, when they began dating. They wed in May, 2005 and have three biological children together. Klum has another child from a previous relationship, whom Seal adopted.
