High School Grad Pulls Wool Over Stanford University's Eyes

Girl could not gain acceptance to school, decided to attend anyway.

A high school graduate posing as a Stanford student nearly made it through her "freshman year" at the prestigious university. Stanford is looking into tightening its security measures after Azia Kim managed to pose as a student, living in the dorms and pretending to do her homework. It is unclear yet whether any laws are broken, but the university is investigating how Kim sidestepped security restrictions, using the residence halls and the university's computers.

Kim was apparently under intense pressure from her family to attend a good school after her high school graduation. Though she tried, Kim was unable to get accepted to Stanford, so she just went anyway. She even maintained a blog online for her family's benefit, pretending to worry about her exams and counting down to spring break. Kim was asked to leave the campus within hours of her exposure as a fraud.

But this is not the first time Stanford has dealt with such a problem. Another woman has been warned to stay away from campus. For four years, the woman posed as a researcher, living at the university's Varian Physics lab.
