Hilary Duff Engaged to NHL Player

After two years of happily dating, actress/singer Hilary Duff and NHL star Mike Comrie have gotten engaged.

Duff's representative recently confirmed the happy news, saying, “Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were engaged this weekend while vacationing in Hawaii. After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news. They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.”

Comrie, 29, is currently a centre for the Edmonton Oilers who are based in Alberta, Canada. His new fiancée has reportedly picked up Hockey for Dummies in order to better understand her future husband's trade.

But Hilary Duff isn't the only singer who's been checking out the ice rinks. Country music singer Carrie Underwood became engaged to Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators just last December. The two have been dating since 2008. This NHL season, the two singers have been spotted on the sidelines together, cheering on their respective men as they faced off.

While no wedding plans have officially been made, everyone is on the lookout for photographs of the next celebrity engagement ring.
