Hilary Duff Gets Another Show

The actress signs a one-year contract with NBC.

Hilary Duff, who made her name at age 14 on the Disney Channel with the show, Lizzie McGuire, is returning to television, NBC announced on Friday. Duff, now 22, has signed a one-year development deal with NBC, Reuters reports. The actress plans on starring in her own NBC series as well as appearing on other NBC shows. "Hilary is an incredible versatile talent with a huge following whose career we know will continue to soar on NBC," said Teri Weinberg, executive vice president of NBC Entertainment. This certainly appears to be true. Besides her hit show, Lizzie McGuire, and The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Duff has had four pop music albums, a clothing line, two perfumes under the Elizabeth Arden label, starred in several movies, and has three films coming out next year. According to Variety, Duff will soon meet with NBC writers to sift through story ideas.
