Hilary Duff Says Bye to Her Good Girl Image
After always being known as Disney's innocent Lizzie McGuire, Hilary Duff finally found a way to get rid of this good girl image in her new movie, War, Inc.
Since the show, Lizzie McGuire, ended in 2004, Duff maintained her good girl image by acting in teenage romantic comedies such as A Cinderella Story and Cheaper by the Dozen. However, her new movie, War, Inc., is a crime thriller, which is extremely different to her previous movies.
The movie includes A-list actors such as John and Joan Cusack, which illustrates how Duff has upped her game in the film industry.
She said: "I got to play a character far away from who I am in my real life. I got to be a little bit of a bad girl for a change."
According to All Headline News, one scene in the film required Duff to drop a scorpion in her pants in order to seduce actor John Cusack's character. Now that's risky!
During an interview with The Showbuzz at the Tribeca Film Festival, Duff said: "I have to make myself happy, you know, at the end of the day and I have to do things that challenge me in my work."
This is a great opportunity for Duff as she now has the chance to expand her movie prospects, and prove that she can play other roles besides the happy and perfect characters Disney creates.
War, Inc. will be out in cinema theaters on May 23.
