Hilary Duff Seeks Restraining Order for Obsessed Fans.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Hilary Duff and her boyfriend, Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, have filed applications for restraining orders against two men who they say are stalking the singer/actress. The papers filed on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court state that a 19-year-old Russian immigrant, named Max, and his roomate, 50-year-old David Joseph Klein, a celebrity photographer, have been "aggressively stalking" the couple for over a month.

The documents claim that Max and Klein have waited outside Duff's mother's house, as well as at the venue Good Charlotte, and a market where the couple usually shops. The papers also say Max has not only admitted to being obsessed with Duff, but that he has the intention of removing his enemies or those who are preventing him from being with her, and has even threatened to purchase a weapon, kill himself and or take drastic measures to get her to notice him. He also "has stated his belief that Hilary is in love with him and that Joel Madden stands in their way."

Max moved to Los Angeles from Russia two years ago, suppossedly with the idea of beginning a relationship with Duff.

Duff and Madden requested an L.A. judge grant them a restraining order, requiring both men to stay 100 feet from the couple at all times. A hearing will be on November 15,2006.
