An 18-year-old Russian immigrant has been sentenced to four months in an L.A. jail for stalking singer/actress Hilary Duff, 19.
Maksim Myaskovskiy was charged with stalking Duff last November. Duff had hired a private investigator who alleged she received death threats from Myaskovskiy.
Duff and then-boyfriend Joel Madden, of the band "Good Charlotte," also sought restraining orders against Myaskovskiy and his roommate.
The accused stalker pleaded no-contest in an L.A. court on Friday and was ordered to jail immediately. He also received five years probation.
With Myaskovskiy behind bars, Duff can breathe easier knowing this scary stalker has been subdued.
