The Hills' Audrina to Star in Into the Blue 2

The Hills star Audrina Patridge is following a similar route to Jessica Alba in her quest to become a legitimate star.

Patridge, 22, will star in Into the Blue 2, the sequel to the 2005 film starring both Alba and Paul Walker.

Patridge's role will not be much of a stretch for her because, as the Hollywood Reporter reports, her character will be a beach beauty controlling every action of her boyfriend.

The role is "giving me the chance to show people [what I can do]," The Hills star told Ryan Seacrest on May 8. "This is why I moved to L.A."

On The Hills, which has its season finale Monday night, Patridge has been feuding with the show's star, Lauren Conrad, in recent weeks over what Patridge feels is a phasing out by Conrad. Only time will tell if Patridge's role in a major motion picture will create additional tension.
