Hilton Heading to Jail

Hilton is sentenced to 45 days.

Celebrity "it girl," Paris Hilton, was sentenced to 45 days in jail.

Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ordered Hilton, 26, to report to jail June 5. It was also agreed that if Hilton does not surrender as planned, the sentence will be increased to 90 days.

This wasn't the first time that Hilton violated her probation, it was actually her second. In January and February, Hilton drove with a suspended license and failed to enroll in a court-ordered alcohol abuse program.

Hilton told the judge she didn't realize her license had been suspended.

The judge, saying "there's no doubt she knew her license had been suspended," ruled that she was in violation of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

"I think she's singled out because of who she is," said defense attorney Howard Weitzman, who vowed an appeal.

"Hilton pleaded no contest in January to reckless driving, stemming from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood. She had a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent, the legal limit and was sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines."
