Hilton's Spiritual Awakening
The slammer has made Paris Hilton a better woman. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the "Simple Life" star has undergone a spiritual awakening in light of the spectacle that is her current in-and-out and back in again prison sentence.
Recently, Hilton spoke to ABC's Barbara Walters in an exclusive phone interview. During the conversation, which Walters discussed during a taping of "The View," Hilton spoke of her first hours in jail. According to Hilton, she was unable to sleep or eat. "I was not myself. It was a horrible experience," claims Hilton, who was sent back to jail this past Friday, after being released due to "medical reasons."
L.A. Sheriff Lee Baca is currently being investigated for releasing the hotel heiress against judge's orders, who demanded she finish out her 45-day-sentence. Meanwhile, there have also been reports of inmates requesting similar treatment to that of Hilton, who also claim they suffer from similar medical problems. Whether this is a legitimate turnaround or yet another stunt in the continuing Hilton saga, the socialite maintains that something positive will come from her experience. "I'm not the same person I was," she said. "I used to act dumb. It was an act. I am 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute.
