Spears just confirmed that she and new husband Kevin Federline, are expecting their first child, posting the following message on her newly designed website: "The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together."

So, now we can all rest easy knowing why she's stopped smoking, drinking and has put on some weight in recent months.

Federline has two children, ages two and eight, with former girlfriend Shar Jackson, so fatherhood is familiar territory for him. However, Britney couldn't be more excited to be a new mother, previously saying that it would be the "closest thing to God."

Interested parties will be able to watch her pregnancy progress in the Federlines new reality TV series, which is expected to kick off this spring.
