Comedian and co-host of The View, Joy Behar, was given her own HLN show.

It was rumored about two months ago that her ratings weren’t up to par, and many wondered if The Joy Behar Show would get cancelled.

According to E! Online, the announcement came from HLN on Thursday that the show did, indeed, get the axe.

A source over at the network relayed, “I can confirm that the show has not been renewed." Upon this news, Behar issued a statement, maintaining how proud she is of the show. "I am very proud of the show that we created at HLN, and I owe tremendous thanks to the show team who made it possible,” reads the statement.

For uber-fans, don’t worry. The show will still air into the end of this year and they will be taping until the middle of December.

Executive vice president for CNN Worldwide, Scott Safon, had nothing but nice thoughts to say about the cancelled show and its host. "Joy and her team produced over 500 episodes of a show that featured news-making interviews, great conversation and plenty of humor,” he said.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that ratings weren’t the problem with the show, as it was up 38 percent in its third quarter. The motive behind the cancellation is reportedly that CNN’s sister network, HLN, is looking to move on from entertainment news coverage and more on to election coverage.
