It’s that time of the year again - spider webs, ghosts and a massive variety of scary movies. This combination leads to Spike TV’s Scream Awards, which took place Saturday, October 15 at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Falls Lake.

Attendees included Anne Hathaway, Daniel Radcliffe, Nicolas Cage, George Lucas, Paul Reubens - better known as PeeWee Herman - and many more celebrities famous for their roles in thriller and horror films.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the show opened with a shrieking blonde in the jaws of a giant claw crane which then led to the presenting of the “Hero Award” which was given this year to Robert Downey Jr.

Other highlights of the night included Paul Reubens riding out on PeeWee Herman’s infamous bicycle from PeeWee Herman’s Big Adventure to accept the “Visionary Award” and George Lucas presenting himself the award of “Ultimate Villain” for his creation of Darth Vader in the Star Wars saga.

Harry Potter scooped up the most awards of the evening including top prize “The Ultimate Scream.” According to CBS News, Radcliffe accepted the awards via satellite.

The Scream Awards will air on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Spike.
