Desperate Housewives makes the trip to China
The Walt Disney Co. is seeing how Wisteria Lane would hold up if it were China. "Desperate Housewives," ABC's Sunday night powerhouse, is going to be dubbed in Mandarin and moved to China's state-run CCTV 8 channel. Announced last Thursday, Disney explains that "Fans worldwide relate to these characters." The show, which has been heavily publicized and award nominated is already number 1 in other countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom, Italy, South Africa, and Germany. "Desperate Housewives" stars Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van De Kamp, Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis and Nicollette Sheridan as Edie Britt.
