How I Met Your Mother's latest episode explores the idea of "bffs." Lilly, who has been trying to get pregnant all season, keeps bringing up pregnancy and child birth -- much to Robin's annoyance. When Robin makes fun of Barney's boutineer, which he says is French for "booty is near," he reveals another Robin Sparkles tape.
It is an episode of the show Space Teens, which is littered with sexual innuendos. It also starred Robin's former bff, Jessica Glitter (played by Nicole Scherzinger). When asked why they were no longer best friends, Robin dodges the question and leaves. Ted figures that it was because Jessica had a baby, and since Robin doesn't like kids, she "dumped" her.
Lilly becomes convinced Robin is going to dump her, and when she goes to talk to her about it, Robin explodes. She tells Lilly how her constant "baby talk" is annoying.
Meanwhile, after Ted calls his friend "Punchy" to prove to the gang that you can still have friends from high school, he shows up to crash on Ted's couch -- much to the gang's annoyance.
Marshall tracks down Jessica, and she reveals that it was she who dumped Robin, because of all the pressures of having a baby. Robin and Lilly reconcile, Punchy asks Ted to be his best man at his wedding, and Jessica and Robin sing a duet at the Hoosier Hut.
This episode was funny, and the Space Teens episode is so dirty it's hilarious. Scherzinger does an excellent job, even though her part was small, and it would be interesting to see her on the show again.
