How Will the Big Threesome Affect the Golden Globes?

I was recently reading an article on Reuters, titled O'Brien, NBC separation may upstage Golden Globes. Yes, the big switch-a-roo is still the talk of the town even as one of the biggest award shows is airing, and it's all happening on NBC.

So far, NBC hasn't tried to censor a lot of talk about the situation on its network, as far as I can tell. Weekend Update on “Saturday Night Live” last night was pretty brutal in bashing NBC for its behavior, but how long this will last, I do not know. More publicity of this sitch can't be too good for NBC.

And with all the drinks Ricky Gervais says he and others will be indulging in, who knows what will happen. “Everyone is sitting around drinking. I'm going to be drunk, and I'm not going to rehearse,” says Gervais. I'm sure it will be a great time for all.

NBC's biggest concern may stem from viewers who would like to stay away from the network due to its recent negative behavior, probably diehard fans of Conan O'Brien. Whether or not they are formidable enough to affect the ratings, I do not yet know that either, but I would guess not. In the future though, NBC programming may be affected by this group, most noticeably affecting “The Tonight Show” over anything.
