Howard Stern is Offered Simon's Spot

According to reports, Howard Stern has been officially offered Simon Cowell's spot on 'American Idol.'

Ever since infamous judge Simon Cowell announced that he would be leaving the FOX phenomenon American Idol after this season, talk quickly spread of who would be filling his coveted spot on the judges’ table. Whoever chosen would be following popular comedienne Ellen DeGeneres who makes her debut as a judge this season. Rumors quickly spread that shock jock Howard Stern was in contention to replace Cowell.

According to the most recently updated reports, FOX has officially offered the spot to the controversial Sirius satellite radio host. If Stern accepts the offer, he would be joining Idol when his contract with Sirius expires next year. On his radio show, Stern has even mentioned the possibility of this new deal on multiple occasions. However, Stern is reportedly not to keen on the traveling required if he were to replace Cowelll.

According to reports, however, Idol will continue to pursue Stern. Possibly harsher than Cowell, Idol producers see Stern as the perfect personality to replace him.
