Hugh Hefner’s fiancée abruptly called off their wedding a few months ago, but it hasn’t placed a permanent negative connation on marriage in the mind of the Playboy founder.
"I think my notion is that I will not get married again," Hefner, 85, told E! Online at the premiere of The Rum Diary in Los Angeles on Thursday. "But you know, who can say? I'm looking for a long-term serious relationship, so that's what it's all about.”
He added, “Never say never. I’m a romantic till I die.”
In June, Hefner’s 25-year-old former fiancée Crystal Harris called off the wedding five days before they were set to walk down aisle. Hefner cited that Harris “had a change of heart” and speculation arose that the split resulted from an argument between the two at the Playboy Mansion.
Harris is reportedly auctioning the $90,000 engagement ring Hefner gave her at Christie’s in New York City. Hefner says he’s unfazed by her decision to sell the ring.
