Hugh Hefner's son hits Playmate

By Samantha Yeh,

Marson Hefner, son of Playboy creator Hugh Hefner, was arrested Sunday night in Los Angeles for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, 2011 Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair.

Sinclair obtained an emergency restraining order against the younger Hefner on Monday, which ordered him to stay away from Sinclair for the next three days, TMZ reported.

Sinclair told TMZ she plans on moving out of the couple's home immediately, but if she needs more than three days, she will not hesitate to extend the restraining order.

Authorities were called to the couple's home in Pasadena just before 11 p.m. on Sunday night, according to E! News.

Police found Sinclair with minor injuries, including bruises and red marks, that allegedly came from Hefner punching and kicking the playmate. Sinclair then called family members, who in turn called 911, Huffington Post said.

Hefner was charged with battery on a spouse since, even though he and Sinclair are not married, under California law a cohabitant can still count as a spouse. He was released on $20,000 bail a few hours after being taken into custody. Hefner denies hitting Sinclair.

Sinclair told TMZ she told Hugh Hefner about the incident, who in turn said he was very disappointed in the situation.

Sinclair was named 2011 Playmate of the Year and has been dating Mason Hefner on-and-off since 2010.
