Hugh Jackman Digs His "Wolverine" Claws into Famous Hollywood Landmark
It's officialPeople Magazine's Sexiest ["Wolverine"] Alive has dug his claws into the famous Hollywood Boulevard cement outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. With two weeks until X-Men Origins: Wolverine is released to theaters, the star of the film, Hugh Jackman, received one of the biggest honors any celebrity in Hollywood could ask for.
After the actor was introduced by late night funnyman, Jay Leno, Jackman reminisced about the first time he and his wife arrived in Los Angeles and saw the infamous landmark.
"It's a very humbling moment as an actor to be here," Jackman said. "You look down at the names, from Fred Astaire to Cary Grant, Clint Eastwood, Al Pacino, Steve McQueen, John Wayne, and to think that those people have been immortalized and pretty soon I'll be putting my hands in wet cement."
Jackman was cast as Wolverine in 2000 for Bryan Singer's X-Men, in which he later reprised his role in 2003's X2: X-Men United and 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand. Hitting theaters May 1, it's said that X-Men Origins: Wolverine will open to huge numbers, thrusting the actor into even more fame.
