Hugh Jackman Immortalized in Cement

Hugh Jackman put his hands and footprints in cement outside of Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Hugh Jackman, star of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, was immortalized in Hollywood after he dipped his hands and footprints in cement outside of Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Reuters reports that at the ceremony, he told fans, photographers and the press that Grauman's was the first place he ever visited in Los Angeles.

"Here we are, 12 years later," the Australian actor said.

"It's a very humbling moment as an actor to be here," Jackman said. "You look down at the names, from Fred Astaire to Cary Grant, Clint Eastwood, Al Pacino, Steve McQueen, John Wayne, and to think that those people have been immortalized and pretty soon I'll be putting my hands in wet cement," he said.

With his new movie premiering in two weeks, Jackman also took the time to acknowledge his character. "I know how much I owe to this character (Wolverine)," he said according to JustJared.com. "If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be here."

"This is an amazing moment I never thought would happen," Jackman said of the event. "I am very humbled by it."
