Hulk Hogan Gains Small Victory Amidst Divorce Proceedings
Hulk Hogan has been granted access to some of the funds that were frozen during his divorce proceedings.
Florida Judge George Greer has granted $225,000 a month for the next three months to Hogan, despite claims by Bollea that he will spend the cash recklessly.
The famous wrestler is in the midst of divorcing wife Linda Bollea, to whom he has been married since 1983. They have two children, Brooke and Nick.
The wrestler appeared in Pinellas County court on Thursday to formally request the release of $300,000 in order to pay his bills, according to WENN. In court papers filed Monday, Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, states he has been unable to work due to back surgery performed last month.
While Hogan has debts of $312,000, he has approximately $411,000 available in a bank account. Yet, these funds have been frozen during the proceedings, so these debts have remained outstanding.
This has been a nasty divorce battle, including a war of words outside of the courthouse. The divorce is largely in result of Hogan's infidelity after being caught in a relationship with daughter Brooke's friend, Christiane Plante. Plante is 21 years younger than the wrestler.
After filing for divorce, Bollea also dated someone her children's age; Charlie Hill, a year older than son Nick, is 29 years younger than her.
