'Hurt Locker' Wins Critics Awards

Hurt Locker won over the National Society Film Critics by taking best picture, director and actor awards.

Kathryn Bigelow's gritty drama about a group of soldiers in Iraq stars Jeremy Renner (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) and Anthony Mackie (Million Dollar Baby). It is nominated for three Golden Globes, eight Critics Choice, and two SAG awards.

Yolande Moreau won best actress for her work in Martin Provost's biopic Séraphine. Supporting actor awards went to Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) and Mo'Nique (Precious).
