Hurt by Those We Think Love Us

Life's happenings are hard sometimes.

Today I am off on something I did not think I would be. Why is it the church kills or maims their own? They hurt people more than the world ever does. It seems they think they have to judge you for everything you do. You cannot just be friends with someone and be accepted as you are.

I have this lady friend I've had for almost 10 years. We've been through a lot together. She took something out of an email I wrote - one line - and made it into something it wasn't. But now I cannot reason with her about her misunderstanding. It is I that misunderstands. Everything is always my fault. It seems everyone expects me to be the peacemaker and no one seems to care if they hurt me.

I was listening to a lady Preacher on the radio today - well known. If I mentioned her name, people would know who I am talking about. I feel it best not to.

But she was talking about not having people around you who are hurting or going through hard times because they bring you down. Yet she had to go through hard times and get above them. She feels she cannot allow people around her now unless they are positive. I have found many people like this in the world.

Where are those who care about the hurting anymore? There are more and more hurting with tornados, earthquakes, flooding, even besides illness.

Life is full of people who are hurting. So we are to turn away from them or they have to wear false faces to be around us. I don't think that is the way it should be.

A friend needs someone to be there. Someone to put an arm around their shoulders and cry with them.

I remember when I had a miscarriage that the person who ministered to me the most was the one who put her arm around me and cried. She said she didn't have words to say to help me. No - but her caring came through more than others who said things that hurt.
