Chopping Block gets Chopped
Most of America is fascinated with cooking shows, but apparently not enough to keep a few on air.
The recently debuted Chopping Block on NBC has been cancelled, according to TheFeed.com. The cooking competion show, which starred world-renowned chief, Marco Pierre White, first aired March 12 to average ratings. Since its first week, viewer ratings had become decidedly lackluster.
But Chopping Block is not the only show being pulled. NBC plans to clean house, getting rid of such shows as Knight Rider, My Own Worst Enemy, Crusoe, Lipstick Jungle, and will close out its long running dynamo, ER.
There are three other shows that are on the chopping block, so to speak--Kath and Kim, Life, and Kings. Older episodes of Law and Order: Criminal Intent will be aired in Chopping Block's place, and the studio plans to possibly air the rest of the series at some point in the future.
