Idol Beats Super Tuesday
It seems that the talk that American Idol would not win Tuesday night in ratings was all for nothing. Fox came out ahead with both their presentation of American Idol and House.
Vareity reported that the preliminary Nielsen ratings showed Idol took the eight o'clock hour with a 11.2 rating and 28 share of adults 18-49 giving it 27.8 million viewers, up a little from last week. House took its best rating of the season with 9.0 rating and 21 share giving it 23.2 million viewers. Both shows blew away NBC, CBS and ABC.
In the two hours from eight to ten NBC came in second with its two hour episode of The Biggest Loser had a 3.1 rating and 8 share with 8 million viewers. It took the lead at ten with its coverage of Super Tuesday with 5.6 million viewers.
ABC skipped it's primetime programming for Super Tuesday coverage had 5.3 million viewers overall. It beat out CBS from nine to eleven but CBS topped it at 8 with a repeat of NCIS.
