Idol Judge Comes Clean

Paula Abdul denies recent accusations that she has a drug or alcohol problem.

American Idol judge Paula Abdul's recent behavior has caused wide speculation that she has an alcohol or drug abuse problem. Abdul denied these accusations in an interview Saturday and said she was healthy and sober during promotions for the show.

Three recent interviews of Ms. Abdul showed her slurring words, swaying in her seat, and giving answers that didn't make sense. These interviews were posted on "YouTube" and other similar video sights but have been promptly removed.

"I've never been drunk. I'm not under the influence of anything," Abdul insisted in an interview with TV journalists in California on Saturday.

Abdul went on to explain that a recent botched interview with a Seattle TV station was due to audio feed problems and fatigue. "That was a mistake I had nothing to do with," Abdul said Saturday. "I'm doing my job and having fun." Too much fun, perhaps?
