Idol Judge, Randy Jackson, Makes an Album

Jackson prepares to release album later this year.

With Idol contestants releasing albums every year, it's time to see what the judges can do. No doubt, Randy Jackson will report to his regular duty as American Idol moderator later this week, but come March 11, it is the public who will judge Jackson's latest musical effort.

Jackson has aligned a star-studded group of artists to help support his album, patently titled Randy Jackson's Music Club, Vol. 1. The disc will include the likes of: Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul, Joss Stone, Travis Tritt, Jason Mraz and former Idol finalists Elliott Yamin and Katharine McPhee.

According to Billboard, Jackson's album is said to be a rainbow of musical genres, ranging from country to hip-hop. Jackson produced all 12 of the disc's tracks, and with the help of todays' best pop, R&B, and gospel artists, Music Club Vol. 1 is sure to be a treat.

Jackson states, "At the end of the day, I'm a song guy, and working on these songs has been a way to express my passion for music, which has never been stronger." Well, let the judge be judged!
