If Heartbreak Could KillÉ

Kristen Stewart said that the "New Moon" break-up and love triangle "literally kills you."

Teenage love triangles tend to involve heightened emotions, drama, and… death? Kristen Stewart told MTV News that in "New Moon," the upcoming "Twilight" sequel, "People don't just break up – they break up and it literally kills you."

In the same interview with MTV News, Stewart discussed the difficulty of portraying Bella's intense emotions in "New Moon." Although the 19-year-old actress was intimated by the film's emotional depth, she embraced the complexity.

When gorgeous vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson, leaves Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, Bella's heartbreak brings her down a path that nearly kills her. "Like, she literally is going to die; she's going to stop eating and be done," Stewart said.

Luckily, the next film in the Twilight series also involves Jacob Black, Bella's wolf best friend. During Bella's heartbreak, Jacob, portrayed by Taylor Lautner, is "the only thing that brings [Bella] out of it."

Jacob's compassion and friendship help heal Bella's broken heart, while his motorcycle lessons distract Bella from Edward's absence.

The "New Moon" teenage love triangle will play out on screen November 20.
