If You Want to Destory My . . . Snuggie?

If you love '90s alt-rock and sweater-blankets a la the Snuggie, Weezer has the ultimate item for you. Rolling Stone reports that the band was so infatuated with the late night infomercial's product that they decided to create their own version of the oversized sweater and call it the Wuggie.

Lead singer Rivers Cuomo explained to the magazine, "A Wuggie is basically exactly like a Snuggie, except it says Weezer on it. The people at Snuggie are doing it with us and promoting it with us. It's a totally legit Snuggie."

Snuggies were a hot holiday item this past holiday season that allow the wearer to lounge comfortably under the warmth of a blanket, while still retaining the use of their arms. This new branding option follows right in line with Weezer's traditional geek image. No word yet on when the item will be available.
