Actor to governor, back to actor again. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger may appear in the fourth "Terminator" movie, according to CNN. Terminator Salvation will not cast Schwarzenegger in his original role. His image from the 1984 original will in fact be inserted into the film.
"I made it very clear that I don't have the time to do the movie. I said that I would be willing to be in the movie if they get the technology together, and so they are working on that right now," said Schwarzenegger during an "Ask the Governor" webcast on Tuesday.
The fourth film of the "Terminator" franchise will be a prequel to the series. The movie will star Christian Bale. Schwarzenegger will appear as a "future Terminator" that the main character encounters.
Although he is not directly involved in the film project, Schwarzenegger is still supportive of the production. "I think it's cool to continue on with the franchise," he said.
The film is scheduled for release in theaters May 21.
