Singer/songwriter Jason Mraz broke a Billboard record this week with his single, "I'm Yours," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The breezy guitar backed song first hit charts in May 2008, and 71 weeks later, it holds the record for longest run on Billboard's Hot 100.

The previous record holder was LeAnn Rimes, whose hit, "How Do I Live," spent 69 weeks on the chart.

Though it marks one of Mraz's greatest accomplishments, the 32-year-old singer says he doesn't see it as the pinnacle of his career.

"I don't feel like I crossed a finish line. I don't feel like I've sweated for 70 weeks. I feel like the song is just doing its thing and it was a real gift," he said.

Mraz has spent the last two years on the road promoting his latest CD, the platinum-selling "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things."

"I'm Yours" is currently 32nd on the Hot 100.
