An Incredible Movie Weekend
The Incredibles ran circles around The Polar Express this weekend at the box office, earning an estimated $51 million, which brings the total earnings of the family superhero adventure to approximately $144 million. The Polar Express fared well at second place with total earnings amounting to $30.8 million.
As for live action movies, After the Sunset, the jewelry heist action film starring Salma Hayek and Pierce Bronsan, edged out Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, receiving the number three spot The Renee Zellwegger sequel followed at number four. Meanwhile, Seed of Chucky had a disappointing opening weekend earning only $8.7 million at number five.
Rounding at the top ten were Ray at six, The Grudge at seven, Saw at eight and Shall We Dance? and Alfie at nine and ten.
