Indiana Jones 4 Merchandise in the Works
Watch out! There is going to be an avalanche of merchandise inspired by the new installment of the Indiana Jones franchise. Although the movie doesn't hit theaters until next year, George Lucas is getting the ball rolling early with a product line that Indy fans will want.
"It's been 19 years since the last film and we are sensing a huge pent-up demand for everything Indy," President of Lucas Licensing, Howard Roffman, said in a statement. Hasbro is developing a new line of Indy action figures, complete with vehicles, and they will also come out with brand new games. LEGO is creating Indy sets and Burger King will, no doubt, put Indy's face on their cups and fry containers. Hallmark is producing a new line of party sets, cards and ornaments. Scholastic, Random House and DK have the book market covered by putting the movie into print format. Video Game fans, don't worry, because LucasArts is developing state of the art and breakthrough Indy games.
The fourth installment in the Indiana Jones saga is set to hit theaters on May 22, 2008 with a star studded cast including, Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, John Hurt and Shia LaBeouf.
