Injury has Brad Pitt accessorizing with a cane for the Palm Springs Film Festival

Brad Pitt was seen with a new accessory at the Palm Springs Film Festival on Saturday night: a cane.

"I was carrying my daughter and I tripped and fell" while on a ski slope on a recent family trip, Pitt told the Hollywood Reporter.

Nearby, Angelina Jolie also commented on the injury. "Everyone's fine. I think all parents get injured in the line of fire! When Maddox was young, I fell and hurt my elbow. It's a pretty common occurrence."

While the injury isn't too severe, Pitt twisted his knee and consequently damaged his ACL. But this won't stop these famous parents from their busy schedule. The celebrations for Zahara's seventh birthday are continuing as scheduled today.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Pitt wasn't the only injured person on the red carpet at the event. "Brad's bruised arrival led to additional injuries as the mere sight of him and partner Angelina Jolie sent one fan into such a state, an ambulance had to be called and the unidentified reveler was taken away in a stretcher."

The actor was at the festival's annual awards gala because Pitt is receiving the Desert Palm Achievement Actor Award at the Film Festival for his work in Moneyball and Tree of Life.
