A new documentary, "It Might Get Loud," profiles Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, The Edge of U2, and Jack White of the White Stripes. The film is directed by Davis Guggenheim. It reveals the inspiration that these guitarists use as well as the way they create music.

According to Rolling Stone, the film contains scenes of the three jamming. Page says that the film is interesting because each are self taught guitarists.

White says of his guitar playing, "If you're handed an instrument or you find yourself playing an instrument that's too easy to play, that's too nice and too in tune, I want to, you know, turn it upside down and make it out of tune so I can win that fight. I have to make a fight out of it," Roadrunnerrecords.com reports.

Page is attracted to the alchemy of how the guitar, guitar pickups, strings, and amplifier are all part of a magic potion to make music.

According to NME.com, the film visits the mansion where Led Zeppelin recorded "Stairway to Heaven" and the Dublin high school where U2 formed and used to practice.

The film premiered on Friday, June 19, in Los Angeles, and will open in New York and Los Angeles on August 14.
